From April 7th to April 13th this year, India's coal imports reflected a diverse sourcing strategy with significant quantities arriving from various countries.

The total import volume amounted to 4,185,440 metric tons, illustrating the substantial demand for coal within the nation's energy sector. Notably, Indonesia emerged as the primary source, accounting for a staggering 2,267,150 metric tons, constituting over half of the total imports.

Additionally, South Africa and Russia contributed substantially to India's coal imports, collectively supplying over 20% of the total volume. South Africa, with 612,389 metric tons, and Russia, with 315,062 metric tons, showcased their roles as key suppliers in India's coal market.

Moreover, while other nations such as Australia, the United States, and China also played significant roles in supplying coal to India during this period, the dominance of Indonesian coal underscores its pivotal position in meeting India's energy demands.
